The Founders

SarCoog (aka “Sam”)- One of the original founders, SarCoog is on an indefinite leave of absence from Scott & Holman for personal reasons.

Bobb-o (aka “Bobby”)- See the thing is he is a student at THE University of Houston. He likes yelling obscene borderline obscene things at opponents of the UH athletic teams. He invented the soon to be international dance craze known as “Crank ‘Dat Pelican” and can also be applied to other mascots (see: “Crank ‘Dat Miner” et al). Besides the Houston Cougars he is also a fan of Dallas teams like the Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars… and yes Rangers. So don’t accuse him of not being a true fan.
He is the target of SarCoog‘s Mexican jokes even though he takes as much pride in his Mexican heritage as Taco Bell does in their authenticity. He is also a former junior journalist and was the editor-in-chief of The Champion: China Spring High School’s student paper. His off-season home is in Waco, Texas where he enjoys the Cheddars and the goings-on at New Road. He tried to introduce the “Crank ‘Dat Pelican” to the town but they aren’t so hot on dancing in Waco. He likes all pop music and even enjoyed a Miley Cyrus song once… that he was suckered into enjoying okay?!?!?!
At UH he is majoring in sports administration and has aspirations of being the next greasy haired agent that Skip Bayless is bitching about. Oh and his dad dressed up in a panda suit one time for a Baylor basketball game.
ElViento (aka “Dustin”)- Above all else he is the elder statesman of this S&H blog triumvirate and is by far the best basketball player. Outside of sports, he lives life by the word and teachings of John Stossel and aspires to have a mustache as awesome as the Stossel does. Also, he has a deep-seated hatred of Joe Morgan.
Besides his undying and passionate devotion to Houston Cougar athletics, ElViento is a St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bulls, Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Why? Because he’s from Orange County, California… duh! Did I mention he really hates Joe Morgan?
Much to his own surprise he has also recently become a fan of the Dutch national and Houston Dynamo soccer teams. But he hasn’t reached the level of being able to curse at soccer referees… he’s getting there, okay? That pretty much sums it up. Oh and he secretly thinks SarCoog and Bobb-o look like huge tools in their colorful plaid shorts.
Also Appearing
jtdees (aka “Trent”)- jtdees can claim the titles of “Most Photographically Inclined” and “Classic Rock, Most Knowledgeable” amongst the Scott & Holman writers. He joined the Cougar REDvolution in 2004, and despite its best efforts, the University of Houston hasn’t been able to keep him from coming back ever since. That isn’t to say he didn’t graduate (he did), he just won’t stop hanging around.
He won’t brag about it, but if it comes up in conversation, he will let you know that unlike the S&H founders listed above him, he has been around long enough to remember the likes of Brad Lincoln and Vincent Marshall. In fact, as of press time (which means nothing in a blog) he’s the only S&H writer who is native to the Houston area.
At present, jtdees shares an apartment and a dog with ElViento. (Which is absolutely, positively not gay.) He also has a habit of attempting to converse with every single opposing fan at every single event, always. Sure, we laugh about it behind his back sometimes. But when you think about it, opposing fans can be funny, too.

You guys da dudes. Cool.
Any site that rips Justice and Solomon in one paragraph deserves the online version of the Pulitzer Prize…plus money or something.
We will gladly take any money anyone is willing to give to us

Who doesn’t hate Joe Morgan? I was under the impression that it was just understood that he was the worst baseball announcer going right now. (except for that annoying broad the Yankees have on their TV station)
I think you’re referring to Suzyn Waldman…. who is indeed quite annoying.
